We had a nice bout of sunshine this week and got out a little bit. We tried to fly a kite, but this is about as high as it got - there wasn't quite enough wind.
...And more excicting-ly, we found the Wilderness Trail. Here's a picture of us at the Stone House, a landmark along the Balch Creek part of the hike.
Nah, Andy's lyin'.. We were able to get the kite up Much higher than this, but we had planned to go to the library after we were done outside, so we decided to try it at the park right outside. Maybe not the best idea because the library is probably what caused the intermittent wind. But the inside of the building was beautiful--all exposed rafters and structure with polished wood and high, open ceilings. Maybe it seemed so much nicer because it was unusually sunny, but we should have taken pictures in there too.. Oh well :)
