Power Trip
We just cut our power bill - from ~$120 for the first twenty days we lived here, to ~$40 for the next thirty. And in January!
(the problem was actually caused by a broken thermostat that has since been fixed, but still...)

The Coast
Sunday funday!

Just woke up! phew, it was a fun night! I worked and we were busy AAALLLL night long! I have never seen it so busy at katana like it was last night! I sat at the bar with two hostesses after work and just had a blast laughing for hours!
Today zac and I are going on a bike ride down the coast. I cant wait, and the weather outside is perfect for it too.
Oh yeah and I wanted to show you the cake that zac and I made the other night for his friends birthday! It was so fun!
Hugs and kisses and lots of love!

Update
She's feeling a little bit better today. Potato soup should help.
We decided to hold off on sugary pancakes or French toast until she's 100%.

The Biscuit is Down
Yeah, she's not feeling well. Poor thing's been sleeping like it's going out of style... good thing she has the day off to recoup.
I just learned how to make French toast (don't laugh, thank you internet)... so if you read this before 10a today (Saturday), be sure to vote (look left) - I'll be making the winner for breakfast.
Come back to see how she's feeling - especially after I cook breakfast - since my cooking has been known to, uhmm, make people feel better? Right.
Talk to you soon.

Ruined!
Last night i worked on a white beanie hat for 3 to 5 hours for a girl that said she would give me free piano lessons if i made her a hat like the one i made. I Looked so good when i was done i was so proud of myself. I went to school with the hat the next day and couldn't find her anywhere so i waited till lunch. I just got into the band room where i always hang out for lunch. The she walked in and was stumbling every where. I thought she was sad or something so i took the hat to her. She turned around and i said " hey here's the hat i promised." She then took the hat and without eye contact a smile or ANYTHING! She said "thanks" and walked away. I was devastated. My day was instantly ruined. 5 hours of time i could have spent on a new hat for myself went to an unthankful girl! I swear i wanted the just steal it back and when she came to me saying it was stolen i would have been happier than when she couldn't even smile the time i gave it to her. Oh well its hers now.

Something's fishy here...
This is Crush, our betta fish. And yes, he's a natural blue.
He's also a natural wiggle worm, which is why the picture is blurry. He lives with a family of other fish - I was surprised that bettas could live with other fish, but apparently it's okay as long as there are no other male bettas in with them. And the males are the ones you always see for sale, since the females have short little fins. But I digress.
The other fish were too small and fast to catch with the camera. And even when we asked them (very nicely, mind you) to slow down to have their picture taken, they flat-out refused to smile, much less say cheese.

What did they say about the Octopus that robbed the bank?
He was armed and armed and armed and armed and armed and armed and dangerous.
